Welcome to the site! It’s me, Lisa Toban, your Personal Development Coach where I believe that the “person matters.” Let me explain... From an early age, I was known to be helpful and hospitable. In 2011, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside and my Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Leadership and Development in Social Services with a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy from Loyola University Chicago. I was created to help and studied how to work with people. I believe it is vital to take care of the whole person. One cannot effectively lead or make a greater impact when parts of one’s life is unfulfilled or dissatisfied.
Although, a theory cannot be tested to be true, my life experiences prove otherwise. There was a point in my life where I was broken, fragile, afraid, lonely, discouraged, frustrated and irritated that my “plans” were not manifesting during “my” time frame. I remember losing my drive, passion and motivation to pursue my dreams and help people to become better versions of themselves. I thought I lost my fire, “my uniqueness “due to life’s trials and tribulations.
Then, one day, I decided to “try” again. I decided to submit to God’s plans for my life and push forward. Every day, I’m grateful that I have another chance to get it right.
So, what do I do! Think of me as your cheerleader! I support you! I provide resources and tools to help you be a better version of yourself. You identify an area or areas you want to improve and I coach you through it. I do not counsel you through it, but coach. There is a difference.
I’m your Pat Riley (Current President of Miami Heat and Former Lakers’ Head Coach). I help you to be your best self in the game called, “Life” or as the millennials would say, “adulting.” You need someone in your life that will encourage you to strive and pursue your goals when you feel like giving up. You need someone in your life that will motivate you to pick up the towel, wipe your brow and keep pushing forward. You need a trusted listener to not only listen with the “3rd ear” and not share, but to be honest with feedback to help you move on. I hope you guessed it…I’m that someone!
With over 10+ years leading youth, teams, within ministries and organizations, I challenge the leader within to rise and be great on purpose, every day.
